3C is compliant with the Water Management Society’s Code of Conduct for Service Providers and as such are able to provide a full range of water hygiene services to enable customers comply with Health & Safety Legislation relating to the control of Legionella bacteria within water systems:

Risk Assessments
Specialist personnel undertake site surveys to determine the risks posed to persons from the site water system. Detailed plant and system survey information is provided together with a prioritised action plan to reduce any threat posed by poor system design and maintenance.

A site specific monitoring and maintenance programme is devised to ensure that the system is maintained in accordance with relevant health and safety guidance notes.

Disinfection of Water Systems

A range of disinfection techniques to suit the water system to be treated:
Sodium Hypochlorite - Chlorine disinfections are undertaken as per the specifications detailed within the ACOP L8 and BS6700.
Chlorine Dioxide can be utilised in a variety of different applications.
It shows various benefits over the use of chlorine as it penetrates
biofilms and is unaffected by pH. Applications include low level continuous dosing, one off system disinfections and spray disinfection.
Silver stabilised Hydrogen peroxide solution is a newly introduced means of disinfection, enabling a safe and effective means of disinfection without interruption to services.
Other disinfection techniques offered include copper & silver ion generation plant and bromination.

Water Sampling
A range of sampling techniques can be utilized:
NAMAS accredited laboratories
ATP rapid bio-assay testing (providing an instantaneous indication of microbial water quality)

Monitoring and Maintenance
3C are able to undertake full monitoring / maintenance regimes as prescribed in L8:
Temperature monitoring
Outlet descaling
Routine water system condition surveys
